Dr Vikrant Narayan Vasudeva is an Advocate-on-Record of the Supreme Court of India and holds the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Law (Ph.D.) from the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi. He was a Doctoral Fellow with Max Planck Institute for Intellectual Property & Competition Law, Germany and an Invited Researcher of the Japan Patent Office at the Institute of Intellectual Property, Tokyo, Japan. He pursued his Master of Laws (LL.M.) from The George Washington University Law School, Washington D.C., U.S.A. after obtaining his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B. Honours) from GGS Indraprastha University, New Delhi, India and a Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Laws from the Indian Law Institute. He has also completed certificate courses from Harvard University and World Intellectual Property Organization.

Dr Vasudeva was a junior of Mr. Gopal Subramanium, Senior Advocate, and former Solicitor General of India. He was a foreign intern with R. Kunstadt, P.C., New York and at the Law Office of Henry S. FitzGerald, Virginia.

Dr Vasudeva teaches as a visiting faculty at the Indian Law Institute, New Delhi, India and the Indian Society of International Law, New Delhi. He has lectured in various international fora and has published works in U.S.A, U.K., The Netherlands, Japan, Korea, Australia and India. He has also been involved in research activities with The Supreme Court of India; Law Commission of India, New Delhi; The Centre for Internet and Society, Bangalore, India, and Creative & Innovative Economy Center, Washington, D.C.

Dr Vasudeva's was felicitated on Law Day 2014 by The Supreme Court Bar Association for his book, "Open Source Software and Intellectual Property Rights (Wolters Kluwer, The Netherlands, 2014)"
